A lot of “if’s”…

While the date of departure is coming nearer, I’m getting more nervous, because so far we have nothing and all depends on everything else. In order to be able to take Dilcia and Norma to Spain, they’ll need passports. If we make an appointment now, the first possible date available is on June 19. Since the World Heritage Youth Forum starts on June 10th, that is of course no option. So far we don’t even have an official invitation and we desperately need that in order to get an authorization to apply for a passport for one of the girls whose father lives abroad. And then there’s the fact that there’s no money for or airfare yet, although InHerit/MACHI is very busy working on it. And will we be able to get passports on time? If we get the invite on time, we might get the authorization to apply for a passport. If we can convince migration we need the passports way sooner than June 19th, we’re good… If we’ll then have the promised discount for our airfare, we’ll be able to buy the tickets. That is, if the money is there… A lot of ifs…. ´
In the meantime, we’ll start working on the girls’ presentation and I’ll give the girls a crash refreshment course on the conservation of cultural patrimony. While we keep our fingers crossed…
